Healthy eating and its benefits
I am sure that if you were told there was a pill that had all these benefits with absolutely no side effects you would not hesistate to take it ! Well that pill exists, you have to take it daily and it has the shape of fresh fruits, fish, whole grain products and legumes.
But before I continue, I want to clarify something.
Eating healthy doesn’t mean that you will always eat food that provides nutrients, that is low in sugars or in fats.
It is normal to want to eat food just for the pleasure of it.
Cookies, chocolate, candies, fries, or bacon are not the most nutritious foods out there but they are also a normal part of our diet.
If most of the time you eat balanced and nutrient-rich meals and snacks and then sometimes you treat yourself to something sweet or salty or fatty, you are still considered a healthy eater.
Actually, it is the 80/20 percent rule. If 80 % of the time you eat healthy and 20% of the time you don’t eat healthy food then you are still considered a healthy eater.
